Learning Fedora Linux

Learning Fedora Linux

Linux is increasingly popular for desktops, and if you’re switching from Mac or Windows to Linux, Fedora is a great place to start. This course shows you how to install and make your way around the Fedora workstation environment, perform common tasks from the command line, and get a Fedora server up and running. Author Scott Simpson also discusses the GNOME Shell, Fedora’s default interface, and some of the software that comes included with Fedora.

What You’ll Learn

  • List the things one should do during Fedora installation on VirtualBox.
  • Explain how to begin working with files and folders in the GNOME shell.
  • Name the minimum requirement for adding a new user.
  • Identify where to go to customize the GNOME environment.
  • Name the desktop environment that Fedora uses by default.
  • List the command that you would issue to install an infrastructure server.
